COVID-19 Update


After carefully considering a multitude of factors and the rapidly changing situation in our area around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)Barberton Public Library has made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Library to the public from 5:00 pm Sunday, March 15 through at least 8:00 pm on Monday, April 6. The length of the closure will continually be reassessed.

All programs, events and outreach services have been suspended during this time.

Are there library resources I can use while the Library is closed?

Yes. The Library provides a wide variety of options, including ebooks through OverDrive and Libby, and research databases for homework help and information.

What if my items are due? Will I accrue late fines?

Due dates for all materials have been extended to April 15. No late fees will accrue on materials that were originally due during the closure period.

Can I drop my materials off in the book drop?

Yes. The library has a walk-up and a drive-up book drop.


What if my holds are ready for pick up?

Holds that are listed for pick up will be held until April 15.

The digital collection is always open! The CLEVNET eMedia Collection through OverDrive or Libby provides popular audiobooks, eBooks, music, magazines and videos for download. You can check out titles anywhere with a web browser and your library card! Download directly to your portable device in most cases, or download to your computer or laptop and then transfer to your portable device.
