A Dark Tale for Suspense Seekers. by Sam Kuikahi, Customer Services Manager The book I chose for this book review was Took: A Ghost Story by Mary Downing Hahn. This is a tween book geared towards children in fifth through seventh grade. (ages 9-11) However, even as an adult I found this book to be very interesting. Daniel and his family are forced to move from their nice large house in Connecticut to a run-down, beat-up old house in Woodville, West Virigina. When the family arrives at their new house in the middle of the night the creepy atmosphere makes Daniel and his sister, Erica, uncomfortable. Daniel swears someone, or something, is watching them. No, it couldn’t be, he was just imagining things because it was so dark and there were lots of wooded areas. But, Daniel suspects something weird is happening because not only is Erica talking to her doll, but she is also talking to something invisible in the woods. To find out what happens to Daniel, Erica, and their family, you must read this book. It is a spooky interesting tale, and you will get hooked!
