FALL EDITION- SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, & NOVEMBER 2024 Revitalizing Our Spaces: First Floor Renovations by Josh Brickner, Fiscal Officer As we embark on our first-floor renovation over the next few months, we want to keep you, our valued patrons, updated on some of the alterations coming to the Library. The Library will still be open during the duration of our renovations, however, there will be significant differences that patrons should be aware of. As always, our staff will be happy to assist you through this transition. This project was budgeted for and approved due to the condition of shelving, carpeting, and interior of the Main Floor showing their age after over 20 years of use. A majority of the Main Floor has not undergone a full renovation since the 1980s. Simply, the area was not up to the high standards of service we strive to bring to our patrons, and needs to be refreshed to meet the growing needs of our community. These upcoming three months, you will notice some adjustments in services at the Library. Due to our renovations, certain areas of the Main Floor will be inaccessible to patrons. It is imperative for the safety of our patrons, staff, and the construction crew, that all patrons avoid all sanctioned off areas. Signage will be posted to inform patrons where they are permitted access. To ease this transition, the Library has planned accordingly so patrons will still have access to all of the usual Library services. We ask that patrons be patient with the library staff as we fine-tune these adjustments to best serve our community. Our programs will continue as usual, and patrons will not lose access to any of the standard services offered by the Library. 1980s Renovation
