Adulting 101: How to Find a Job
You've waited all these years to finally be an adult — no one to tell you to do your homework, clean your room, what time to be home or to eat your peas. Now what? Adulting 101 is your go-to program to learn the basics of being a responsible grown-up.
Learn what makes a great resume and how to get organized. Reference Services Manager, Susanne Nirschl Cogar, will provide with tips to conduct a winning job search. She will also demonstrate how to maximize your skills online with Lynda and Linkedin, which are available at no cost with a current Barberton Library card.
LEGOs at the Library
Do you have a school-age child who loves to play LEGOs? Join us for LEGOs at the Library where kids will have the opportunity to get creative, design and experiment with LEGOs!
This program is for children in grades K-8.
Winter Reading Club Through March 18
The Library's Winter Reading Club, for children ages birth to 12 years old, begins January 9, and will run through March 18. The theme for this year's program is Books Bring Me Joy! Prizes will feature artwork by award-winning children's author and illustrator Mo Willems.
Chair Yoga with Colleen Hohl
Join us at the library to improve your flexibility by participating in a free chair yoga class. This gentle program is designed for seniors and individuals struggling with mobility. The class will be led by Colleen Hohl, a 200 hour certified yoga instructor from the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina. No registration is required, just drop in!
Virtual Murder Mystery: Totally Rad 1980's Prom Gone Bad
A Night of Mullets and Mayhem! Who will be awarded the Prom King and Queen title? As the Prom Night unfolds, an innocent life will be claimed. This event will be held with a limited number of participants on Zoom. Costumes and big hair are encouraged. Registration begins on April 29. You will receive a Zoom link with your character information after registering.
Bird Watching in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Join a naturalist from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and learn about the popular growing hobby of bird watching. How does one get started? Where are the best vantage points to see birds? When is the best time to see the most variety of birds?  
Akron and District Pipe Band
The final program in our Scottish-American series is tonight. Members of the Akron and District Pipe Band will be playing bagpipes, telling Scottish stories, and reading Scottish poetry. Join us on Facebook Live to be included in the fun!
