Readers of all ages can sign up at the library for Summer Reading Club starting on June 3 and earn prizes for reading throughout the summer. The 2019 theme of Summer Reading Club is "A Universe of Stories" and the club will run from June 3 through August 10.
Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and Slytherins are invited to celebrate Harry Potter's birthday during a magical festival! Attend Hogwarts classes, drink butterbeer, play Quidditch, and even make your own wands. Be sure to download the new Wizards Unite app to play with your friends during the event. Costumes are encouraged. All ages are welcome to enjoy this free event.
Potter Mania will take place on Wednesday, July 31 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Wonderbooks are children’s books with a ready-to-play audiobook already inside. After reading along, kids can switch Wonderbook into Learning Mode to keep talking about the book they just read. Look for the Wonderbook sticker on your favorite children’s books and borrow one today!
As part of our ongoing efforts to serve our patrons effectively, the Barberton Public Library will be switching over to a new website design within the coming weeks. Much of the organization and content will remain the same, but the new design should make it easier to find information on library services, events and news. Complete a BINGO card with fun reading challenges to earn an entry in the Grand Prize drawing for a $50 Giant Eagle gift card. Contest runs from Wednesday, January 15 to Wednesday, February 12. The Grand Prize will be drawn on February 13, 2020. For adults 18 and over. Pick up a BINGO card at the Reference Desk beginning on January 15. Participants may enter more than once.
Stop by the Reference Desk between February 11 & 15 for a couples’ scavenger hunt. Complete it and receive a box of chocolates for you and your sweetie! This program is intended for adults 21 and older. While supplies last. No registration required.
