“ ’Hey!’ I blurted out to the retreating pink T-shirt. She raised a hand without turning around. ‘We’ll talk later!’ Han Solo would say ‘I got a bad feeling about this.’ I did too.” Ollie pg. 63, Ollie and the Science of Treasure Hunting
Fresh off his adventures in Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking, Ollie is supposed to be laying low - FBI orders. But when the Park Ranger on the island in Boston Harbor, where Ollie is at Boy Scout camp, recognizes Ollie from the news, Ollie’s plans for lying low are looking less and less likely. “Here’s how you get in major trouble on your summer vacation. Agree to search for pirate treasure.” pg. 67 Ollie had already started the trip off on the wrong foot by beating one of the troop leaders, 17 year old Derek, in the first Orienteering Challenge, a challenge Derek had won five years in a row. Things only get worse after Ollie agrees to secretly help Ranger Johnson search for Long Ben Avery’s buried treasure, possibly the biggest treasure ever stolen by pirates. But, does Ranger Johnson really want to find the treasure so he can give it to a museum? As time goes on and Ranger Johnson seems more and more distracted, Ollie begins to doubt his intentions and realizes the possible danger of the situation he is in. Will Ollie make the right choices? Will he be the hero this time instead of the sidekick? Most importantly, will he survive the treasure hunt? Read Ollie and the Science of Treasure Hunting by Erin Dionne to find out. Plus you can check out Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking, to read about Ollie’s first adventure with his best friend Moxie (please note it is not necessary to read the books in any order).
