The Frontier. Pioneers. Manifest Destiny. These terms have romanticized frontier life as being adventurous and the settlers as daring and brave. And, though they were brave, the frontier life was not romantic; instead, it was extremely challenging, grueling, and dangerous. “Pioneer Ohio” refers to the time period following the War of 1812 and ending about mid-century. During this time, people flooded into the state and settled in new areas.

In this session will use a canvas and various acrylic paints to create the acrylic pour technique.  It is easy and fun to see what you can create just by mixing and pouring paint on a canvas.  The kit bags will be available the week of February 12th at the Customer Service desk.  The kits will have the paints and canvas to use for the session. This session will take place on Tuesday, February 20th on Facebook Live!. If you miss the session, the video will posted on Facebook after the session ends.  So join me for the some fun.

Join us on Zoom for the Holiday Evening Storytime on Wednesday, December 16 at 6:00 pm.   There are Take & Make craft bags for the Holiday Storytime available through curbside pick-up here at the library.  Each bag contains a craft and a special treat for the kids.  (Supplies are limited).  

 
   The Romance Book Club where anyone can join. The club meets via Zoom

Through the winter of 1975-76 the Barberton High School basketball team led the city on an enchanted journey. Guided by Coach Jack Greynolds, the team won every regular season game and began a march to the state championship. The team was primed for something great to happen.
