  Our virtual Social Distancing Book Club "meets" every Thursday at 7 pm in a Facebook post. You can read and talk about any book that you would like. This hour-long book club is fast-paced and fun. No registration, just show up!

 An invaluable primer for any type of startup and covers the process for setting up a business enterprise, developing a business plan, and lender requirements for financing. Alec “Al” Morrison of Akron, who is the Medina chairman and counselor for SCORE, a national volunteer organization focused on helping small businesses.

Tired of the same old stories?  Then try your hand at writing a Fractured Fairy Tale.  Take a story you know and change the setting, the events, the characters, the point of view, and/or who’s good and who’s bad.  Make it funny.  Add characters from other stories.  For inspiration read one of the many fractured tales available at the library or through Hoopla or

Heavy Metal is a low brass trio consisting of bass trombone, euphonium and tenor trombone. These three talented musicians are all retired public school band directors. Each member began playing their instrument in elementary school and collectively have more than 150 years of performing experience between them.
