Peralta, University of Akron Professor of Sociology, discusses gender as a social construct, the existence of identities beyond the gender binary (female, male), and ways to be respectful of people existing across the spectrum of gender identities. Join Ms. Abby on Zoom for this energizing program that helps get kids up and moving while also helping them develop motor and listening skills. Beginning February 15, Music & Movement Activity Bags will be available at the library. The bags feature fun items like scarves, shaky eggs, and ribbon wands that children can use during the program. Parents can also create their own manipulatives to use. Please contact the Children's Department for Zoom Login information.

Virtual: Quit Smoking Now

Quit smokingOne of the top New Year's resolutions each year is to quit smoking. Jessie Wingert, MPH, CHES®, CTTS, Health Educator, Tobacco Program Coordinator with Summit County Public Health will present tips for quitting, the importance of quitting, and free resources and support for those who want to quit.
